Talk about Sisters

This is just the perfect time to compare my sister dolls and my own family. My sister and I are like chalk and cheese....and to throw more into the equation, so is my brother...LOL...yes, this is my brother, myself and my sister. My grandmother on my mums side is aboriginal and yes, she is black. She married my grandfather who is a white man with blue eyes. So that is where I come from. His family originate from Ireland and England.

I love the differences. My father had a lot of Cherokee Indian blood so had very dark hair, skin, and eyes. My mom on the other hand is very fair with blue eyes and strawberry blond hair, at least before it turned snow white. She could never get in the sun. My sis has red hair, green eyes and lots of freckles. My brother had black hair, before it turned snow white, blue eyes and very fair skinned. I used to have dark brown hair, dark brown eyes (they changed to green when I was a teen, weird) and dark skin (that is if I ever get in the sun which I don't without sunscreen anymore.) I love that we are so different in looks and in actions.

Wow Khris, you are all so very different! :-) And yet there is something similar about you all, but I can't put my finger on it.

I have a blue-eyed blonde friend whose parents are Fijian... and her parents and sister are so dark that most people wonder if she has been adopted! I think it is amazing how our genes work... and how quite often similarities skip a generation - so it is the grandparents and grandkids who are more alike than the parents and children themselves!

You have a beautiful family Khris... and you all have one thing in common - you look so happy!

Hugs! Vikki xoxo

You are all beautiful, my MIL used to say something like, Handsome is as Handsome does, not sure what it meant, but I think it may refer to you all. He is handsome for sure and you two girls, knockouts is the word that comes to mind. How wonderful to have such a mix, be proud. I would be. lol Jan x

Hi Khris! You have a wonderful family, no matter what you look like as you all seem to be so happy!!! I'd love to have siblings and wouldn't mind at all about their skin tone, it's just lovely to have people you can turn to and you know they will be by your side in any step that you venture yourself in!
Congrats on your beautiful family!
Hugs,
Sandy-
