Pippa

This is a story about Pippa and her Pear. Pippa was the first pattern I made. My love for black dolls started when I first started collecting Gollies or Golliwogs as I knew them way back then. Now we cannot say Golliwogs because of all the PC rubbish that goes around and I know I would never want to offend anybody. Even though I dont get the fact that if you collect a black doll it means you love them not dislike them. And now that you all have read my previous post about my family, I am sure you know I love black people...lol....Anyway, my story about Pippa....my good friend Pam in the States was starting out with making dolls and I sent her my Pippa pattern....take a look here to see my crazy friend Pam experimenting on my darling Pippa...lol....then Pam was chatting with Kate Erbach the artsy fartsy extraordinairre doll maker....and Kate asked after the pattern. So of course being the friendly, sharing person I am I sent Kate the pattern. And waaalahhh Pippa has been born again....now take a look at the difference to what a prim maker and an artsy maker can do to with the same pattern. A nice clean version....lol..not grubbied.
