Stage 1 - Madeline has just sewn together 4.5" charm squares. She now needs to sew on borders but she says that can wait til tomorrow. I think that means she has done enough for a day...hehehe
Chatter about the crafts I love....quilting, doll making, scrapbooking, prims, friends and family.

I have finished my first PIF gifts and have taken up another PIF from Pats blog "Sew Pat".
This concept is like the movie called Pay It Forward with Kevin Spacey and Haley Joel Osment in it. The 12 year old boy has a school assignment and he comes up with the PIF concept....it was a wonderful movie but you need your tissues. I sobbed. PIF is where acts of kindness are done without expecting anything in return, just passing it on, hoping that the recipients will do the same and pay it forward, like a never ending chain of kindness
I will make and send a gift for the first 3 friends who post a comment to this post, requesting to join this exchange, and promising to pay it forward to 3 other persons, etc.... I don't know what my 3 gifts will be,but I can promise I will send them within the next 365 days. What YOU have to do in return then, is "Pay It Forward" by making the same announcement and promise on YOUR blog. I now have 3 lovely bloggers willing to PIF. Janice, Linda "Kaaren". I never heard back from Deb or Adria after I replied to their comments left.

You did a wonderful job Madeline. I'll show Charlotte when she comes home from school. Be careful now, your mum will want you to do all the quilting for you. :)

Wow that looks really awesome! It's so tidy and perfect. I love the fabrics too. That's so cool, hope my DD wants to quilt and craft with me when she is a bit older!

She did a great job! Good for her!
Great going Madeline & Khris-I taught my grandson Daniel to sew & he has made a patchwork pillow & a quilt. He started out sewing by hand before I allowed him to use my 1940's Singer Featherweight. You can see him & his quilt here

He finished piecing it when he was 10 & then I Longarm quilted it for him. I hope that Madeline will catch your love of patchwork & quilting, Khris.
Hugs,
Roslyn
